Chocolate Marshmallow Cookies

My mom thrills me when she makes these.
Chocolate and marshmallow -- a favorite combination!
1/2 c butter
1 c sugar
1 egg
1 t vanilla
1 3/4 c flour
1/2 t salt
1/2 c cocoa
1/4 c milk
18 large marshmallows, cut in half horizontally (with clean scissors)
Frosting:
1 egg
1/3 c butter, melted
1 1/2 oz unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 t vanilla
1 1/2 c powdered sugar
pecan halves
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla, beat until creamy. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Drop by a teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes. Placd 1/2 marshmallow, cut side down on each cookie. Bake an additional 2 minutes. Top each cookie with icing and a pecan half. (Sometimes it's easier to dip the cookie, marshmallow side down, into the icing because it's runny.)
